Did you know that ice skating is one of the most popular winter sports in the Netherlands? Not only is it popular, but the Dutch are also hugely successful, winning 8 out of 12 speedskating events at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Russia.
The 2018 Winter Olympics are about to start, therefore we would like to invite you to EESA’s next sports event, where you can get into the ice skating mood and take your first “steps” on the ice, if you are a beginner or show off your skills, if you are already a pro.
Entrance is free with the Erasmus sports pass (until 18:00), otherwise there is a 10% group discount available, so bring your friends along too! Renting ice skates is also possible at the rink for a fee. Please note that it is not possible to pay by cash and do not forget to bring gloves, as they are mandatory on the ice.
The location is perfect, since its just 5 minutes away from university by bike, and a 5 minutes walk from Lage Filterweg (tram stop for trams 21 and 24). There are also places where you can buy snacks and enjoy a warm chocolate, coffee or tea by the fire place.
If you can’t make it at 17.30, don’t worry, you can come later. We will be there!
We hope to see you all there!
Date: Monday, February 19
Time: 17:30 – for as long as you want 🙂
Location: Schaatsbaan Rotterdam, Toepad 95, 3063 NJ Rotterdam
